Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Though never to lay blame or place fault I strive,
forgiveness is within my heart to freely grant.
Thus a sinner has a path upon which to walk
and to seek the forgiveness that I AM taught.
If once by deed, thought or word I kill
my punishment is the same. Prison or death
of my mortal being ends not my penalty.
For life is in my mind to live and my body to exist.
And if my mind cannot comprehend that difference
it be that I am dead already – now and eternally.
Such is Hell that, existing now or later,
(now in remorse – later in bravado)
the sinner by fact or proxy is doomed;
only He, the One who is I AM doth decide.
