Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Together we will stroll through life
walking hand in hand
and marvel at this wondrous world
just because we can.

And if the path is smooth or rough,
if it meanders left or right
or if it seems too high or steep
What joy!
What love!
That’s life!

So when the past sneaks up behind and strangles your today,
remember there is tomorrow – yesterday’s had its day!

I didn’t know if I could write a positive poem while I was feeling like kicking myself in the head just to see if I could. I think I found out that it is more satisfying to write than to end up on the floor in a tangle of arms, legs and frustration.
