Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Brand new tears
part the foliage
of my ancient fears.
I declare my worth,
so pure and simple,
to my inner being;
conveying void no longer valid.

Accepting who I am:
scared but brave, still afraid.
The light of hope
seen with the third eye
diffuses the shadows of years of fears.

A gentle hand
a loving smile
makes the pain worthwhile.

No demands or needs fill of fool me.
No need to return;
now I can stay.
