Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Who decides what is deserved and what is not?
Is this not based on who would think him right?
So who forgives; which one or which weary plot
when both do suffer from a righteous plight?
One must bend - admit that he is wrong
and take the punishment (even though he’s right)
to stop another verse being added to the song.
Humbled by the Devil, without a fight
you see, forgiveness does not break the trend
in one who has no mercy in his heart.
While you absolve, his will to still offend
permits him yet to remain master of his art.
When you pardon, remember that when again he kills,
you give licence to him that he, his role fulfils
