Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Raise your eyes up to the skies,
your heart will soar forever more.
The silent air will talk and dare
the moon above to send you love.

Listen to the moon tonight.
In your soul, sense life’s great delight.
Feel the solace of silence there
and of your being be aware

Witness naught not in your heart
Hear each heartbeat from the start
Feel the tingling through your veins
a surging serenity among the pain.

Hold and feel yourself with care
and love yourself if you dare.
Realize that in all you see
only one of you can be.

Treat yourself with care and worth.
Don’t worry what the day brings forth.
A life of joy and a joy of life
will always help through any strife.

So my friends, I mean you and me,
think hard on what you want to be.
If you feel sad then be glad

Some people never know the difference!
