Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

The silence is rather deafening after all the joy and mirth
that abounded in the Season to celebrate Christ’s birth.
And it seems to all and sundry, as we quietly go our way,
that too many friends are missing on this blessed Christmas day.

It takes some time to recover from the food and all the fun
and as most of us discover, absent friends can make us glum.
Quiet time is what is needed after such a special day;
to gather thoughts, say a prayer and continue on our way.
