Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Take off the armour you use to deflect.
Open your mind to the thoughts you reject.
Think of yourself and what you are worth
And the beauty inside will come bursting forth.

The skin on your body holds all that you are.
You wash it and cleanse it and treat it with care.
So why do you treat your spirit so bad?
Nurture and love it so sad turns to glad.

Your essence is greater than you can define.
If only you’d leave your sadness behind.
Your worth is much higher than any can see.
Bound only by what you think you can be.

Take each moment that’s offered to you
Don’t ponder and wonder what you can do.
Tomorrow depends on what you do now!
Come on sweet lady, wipe that frown from your brow.
