Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

This “Camel Ride” here below
Often leaves us in the shade,
But there is another world
Where the roses never fade.

Rough and dusty is our way
For the road is not well made.
We toil and labor every day
And long to be --
Where the roses never fade.

Oftimes our lessons are hard.
We struggle to make the grade,
And we look for a time and place
Where the roses never fade.

Darkness comes on apace,
When some times we’re afraid,
But fear we’ll never know
Where the roses never fade.

Waters deep in front of us,
And those beside, we cannot wade,
But then we remember of a time
When roses never fade.

Sinners all are we now
But the debt has been paid,
By God’s own Son above
Where roses never fade.
