Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Dempsey Bumpass : Bushranger's Revetment - Poetry and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. (Bushranger) Pahl and friends

Tony… if you need me I am near
I’ve got your back so have no fear
What’s before us is not to dread
We’ve walked the walk and buried our dead.

We warriors have fought where no one’s been
We fought a war they say we didn’t win
Each of us know deep down in our heart
We answered the call and did our part.

Thirty years later it’s said and done
We ache to prove that we have won
But alas my friend we can’t return
Our minds suffer so; we strive to learn.

Why did we come home from an unpopular fight
to a country that never treated us right?
The agony and pain I can endure only so long
Why did our country treat us so wrong?

Now! Thirty years later a victory parade
In the form of drugs, counseling, and aid
But let me tell you my true friend
My hatred for them will never end!

I only trust you who were there
I can find you by your thousand-yard stare
Brother - If you need me I am near
I’ve got your back so have no fear.
