| I am, in all forms, loyal to a friend for one does not befriend one easily, and one does not define it as a trend to meet a whim that so pleases him. Yet one might challenge how this can be so, to trust a friend one has never met. Perhaps one needs no image then to know (which may become a reason for regret). But where truth lies is where few people look, where special people reveal their very soul. ‘Tis not there written in the public book but in the spectre of their sincere whole. I am, in this, at peace that you are known by all my senses that need not atone. ©Colin F. Jones 18th February 2002 |
