Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

Charles Preston : Bushranger's Revetment - Poetry and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. (Bushranger) Pahl and friends

I sit here in a once great land
Now forbidden, not known to Man
A result of Wars, violence and greed
Sitting in silence as I bleed

Suffering and death plague these ruins
Because of all of mans wrong doings
Why must we bare and pay this price
All that violence, all those lives

There is no answer, is there an end
Everyday, somewhere, it starts over again
The needless taking of human rights
This place called darkness, where there is no light

Is this for what we have strived
A place of deceit, and all the lies
Look around, see all that’s left
All this darkness, is what you’ll get

This world of ours needs to heal
Let in some light, make things real
This nightmare of horror must come to a stop
Or one by one we will continue to drop…
