Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

15 Below - Per Cod - Bushrager's Revetment

crisp, clear air
not a cloud on the sky
a good meter powder snow
sun bathing a distant mountain in light
“mornin!”
“beautiful day, eh?”
cold fingers scraping ice and brushing snow of cars
moms and dads dropping their treasures off at the garten,
children with roses on their faces
exited
happy
some cold
some tired
all smiling
putting my skis on
smiling to the people
smiling at the world
hot cocoa in the backpack
couple of oranges
goat cheese sandwiches
couple of fast runs around the park, then lunch in the snow
can’t wait
take time off
enjoy
snow in the city
here today,
gone tomorrow
