Buahrangers Revetment: Poety and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. Pahl and friends

There it was, temptation sauntering into the dimly lit room, dripping with the sweetness only perfection could create. I tried to resist but the dish was just too delicious and I wanted to savor the extreme pleasure of this moment. My wife just wouldn’t understand my dilemma. Sure I love her, yet she was hours away from here and this was now.

How could I possibly refuse this delicate morsel in green? I had but to hold this soft beauty in my hands and the melting process would begin. Resist, yeah I tried to turn away, but the alluring love for the forbidden started my mouth to watering. I could not pry my eyes away from this tempting vision. Pistachio Icecream : Bushranger's Revetment - Poetry and Stories by Vietnam Veteran, Anthony W. (Bushranger) Pahl and friends

The mood was right, the hour was late, and if my loving wife did find out I know she would forgive my indiscretion. Slowly and methodically, we drew closer to one another. With quivering hands and in the excitement of the moment I reached for and cradled this magnificent beauty, smooth, creamy, sweet and as I drew this forbidden lovely to my lips.

I whispered, “Bluddy hell mate, this is some fantastic Pistachio Ice cream!”
