Let me tell ya about that hat… Did you ever have an article of clothing you wouldn’t part with? Well, that old hat was magic… While wearing it you knew you could do no wrong… It made you feel rich, and that all was right with the world… It kept out the rain and kept off the sun… It wore so thin its leather became as soft as velvet…… Putting it on was like going home safe, so to speak…… Someone stole it… My son wore it to a friend’s house and when he went to leave the hook where he had hung it was empty…… I sure miss my old hat……
